Under the background of “Made in China 2025” and German “Industry 4.0”, with the deepening of China-Germany innovative cooperation, artificial intelligence becomes the integrating point of the strategic coordination between the two countries.

Introducing Chinese intelligent robots can relieve the shortage of labor in Europe.
China has become Germany’s largest trading partner in the whole world and Germany is also an indispensable trading partner to China in Europe. In addition to the realization of coordination of “Made in China 2025”, German “Industrial 4.0” and other development strategies, the cooperation in artificial intelligence promoted the two countries’ cooperation in manufacturing, technology and innovation, etc.
As one of Chinese high-tech enterprises, QIHAN Technology has three products and the total shipments reach 110,000 sets. “We have exhibited at the IFA Expo (The consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany) for two years. We have met numerous potential business partners in German, as well as released our new intelligent humanoid robots.”
For the cooperation in artificial intelligence between China and German, Ryan said the cooperation space was big and there was potential diggable and upgradable cooperation space between the two countries.
“For example, we are working with several European chain enterprises for business cooperation. They’d like to introduce Sanbot advanced humanoid robots to their chain stores to help them with promotion, shopping guidance and other basic replaceable work. This is the biggest integrating point in AI industry between China and German – relieving the labor shortage in numerous service industries in Europe. This is a small case.”
The cooperation in technology research and development and human resources is curial.
From enterprises, Ryan shared his view of point, “the cooperation in AI industry between China and Germany should begin in technology research and development and human resources.”
Germany is in the global top list in artificial intelligence and robot industry, and both technological level and hardware level reach leading standard in the whole world. In 2012, German government issued 10 strategic plans about future high technology and Industry 4.0, with core of “Intelligent Plant” is one of the important plans, including artificial intelligence, industrial robot, IoT, Could computing, big data, 3D printing and more, gaining energetic support by the enterprises and citizens. What’s more, German Financial Department and Teaching and Research Department expresses big support for AI research and they pay high attention to practical utility and technology research.
Ryan said Chinese enterprises should cooperate with German colleges and universities, research institute and competitors to learn more about original German technical innovation, which could improve Chinese enterprises technology ability and deliver Chinese marketing demand to German technology development.
Regarding human resources cooperation and interaction, Ryan said it is one key matter in the cooperation between the two countries. “On one side, Chinese enterprises like QIHAN Technology would like to introduce the think tank with professional knowledge, knowing of industry developing trend and forethoughtful to advance Chinese intelligent manufacturing ability. On the other side, we hope to dig up the applications of artificial intelligence together with German partners.”
Li Yani, the principal of D-zoom UAV School, also expressed, “If China and Germany can co-work together in talent cultivation, it will push forward the talent development of AI technology. There are much more we should learn from Germany, especially their leading talent cultivation. If we learn about their system in talent cultivation, we can train application technology talent in higher speed.
Enterprises in both countries create developer ecosystem together.
Dr. Zeisel, the key administrator of German Teaching and Research Department, talked to Oushinet that there were great potential in the cooperation in AI industry and also it was very necessary.
“We pay high attention to the building of developer ecosystem. The popularization of smart phone is due to the come-out of massive applications, so is intelligent robot. The intelligent robot also needs to be deeply developed with knowledge of various industries, thus it can promote artificial intelligence to produce more application scenarios.” Ryan said.
To offer better services to robotic developers, QIHAN Technology has opened the API and SDK of Sanbot service robots. They can develop the applications according the scenarios where the robot works and don’t need to build one new robot from zero. We have created one from zero, and developers or integrators can step into 100 from one based on Sanbot robot platform, pushing forwards AI Technology into various industries together.
The popularization of intelligent service robots depends on the application of various industries, which needs more developers to do the development. “We have begun the cooperation with many European developers including the German. In the near future, we plan to cooperate with them for developer ecosystem building. We are now recruiting and training more developers” Ryan said in the end.
